Headstart is an innovative, prior to school program run by Glebe Schools Community Centre in conjunction with Glebe Public School. It aims to familiarise children with the school and its routines in the year before they start kindergarten.

The program actively engages children in the type of learning experiences they will encounter in their first year of school and enables them to establish positive relationships with their peers, with teachers and with older students at the school.

The program is run for 3 mornings per week over 9 weeks in Term 4 each year. It is staffed by a qualified teacher and a Support Learning Officer.
