Our school is a Priority School and receives additional funding to support Literacy, Numeracy and Community Participation, as well as additional staffing. We also receive funding from the Schools in Partnership Program (SiP), to sustain maximum student achievement. Both of these programs celebrate the importance of parent/community participation in student learning outcomes. Our school values volunteer support from many parents and community members.

We have an onsite Before and After School Care Centre called Centipede, as well as an onsite Schools as Community Centre (SaCC), which runs our innovative Headstart program, designed for pre-school aged children who will be enrolling at school the following year. 

Our learning facilities include a large and well-resourced Library, a Computer Lab, an Assembly Hall, an ESL (English as a Second Language) Room, a Learning Support Room, an Art Room and the Winanggaay Room, for Aboriginal Education Programs.

The school is well resourced to support the teaching of all Key Learning Area subjects.

Uniforms:    To support the wearing of a school uniform there is a uniform shop available from the front office. Uniforms may be purchased at any time during normal school hours. The uniform colours are maroon and gold. Please click here to view/download a pdf of the current uniform price list.

Absences
Please send a note (signed and dated) to school after every full day absence. The note should clearly state the reasons for absence.

Lateness
Children who are late in the morning need to collect a partial absence note from the front office before they go to class. The note is presented to the class teacher by the child.

Early Departures
Parents who need to contact or collect their children at any time during school hours, must first come to the front office to sign an early departure book.

Custody Orders
In the case of a divorce, or family separation, and where custody is other than ‘joint custody’ (in which case both parents have access to staff and report cards) court offers must be sighted by the Principal (and copies made for school records).
NB: If these arrangements are changed through the course, an update must be sighted.

Communication
To ensure that information passes freely and accurately between the home and the school, parents are asked to regularly check their children’s bags for notes and newsletters and to contact the school if they need any matter clarified.
