Kindergarten Enrolment
We extend a warm welcome to every child who enrols at our school and to all associated parents, caregivers, friends and citizens. We hope that your association with the school will be a satisfying and enjoyable one. The following downloads can help you to prepare your child for kindergarten. They are: The following guidelines will help you with the enrolment process.
Parents/carers wishing to enrol their child/children at Glebe Public School will need to visit or telephone the school to obtain an enrolment form. A form is also available for download here (pdf) You will require proof of identity (e.g. birth certificate), an immunisation certificate, and proof of address for your child. Once your application has been processed by the principal, you will receive details advising the date and time your child will commence school, plus further information regarding our "Headstart" program. Students who live within our local area are automatically eligible for enrolment. All students who live out of area are also welcome to enrol. All parents and carers wishing to enrol their child at the school will need to meet with the Principal to discuss their child's future education and take a tour of the school. When can your child enrol?
In the State of NSW children turning 5 years old by July 31st can enrol at the commencement of the school year. Children can also be enrolled up till the end of Term 2 each year if they turn 5 by July 31st, although it is preferable that all students commence as close as possible to the beginning of the year. Children who are 6 years old must, by law, be enrolled. Enrolment Procedure Years 1 - 6 Please bring your child to the office with any available information from the previous school (and visa details where relevant). Visa details are also required if your child is not a permanent resident of Australia, or is from overseas.
